In Pictures: A Day at Las Luchas

I took the current wife to experience one of my favourite sports: Lucha Libre!

Growing up in Mexico City and not being a football fan can be tough but I got hooked to Lucha Libre as soon as I saw the flamboyant masks and the impossible acrobatics. Also, I got to know about martial arts thanks to Lucha Libre. From a very early age, luchadores were my heroes and some still are to this day.

We got Lucha Libre in London thanks to Lucha Libre World, the show took place at the Roundhouse in Camden and still after a few weeks, I find it a bit hard to go through these photos; This show just wasn’t meant to be. The constant technical failures were probably a sign that the show shouldn’t go on and unfortunately, on the evening show, tragedy struck.
