A couple of weeks ago, I took the current wife to experience one of my favourite things to watch as a kid. Lucha Libre! Growing up in Mexico and not being a football fan can be tough but I got hooked to Lucha Libre as soon as I saw the flamboyant masks and the impossible acrobatics. Also, I got to know about martial arts thanks to Lucha Libre. From a very early age, luchadores were my heroes and still are to this day.
We got Lucha Libre in London thanks to Lucha Libre World, the show took place at the Roundhouse in Camden and still after a few weeks, I find it a bit hard to go through these photos; This show just wasn’t meant to be. The constant technical failures were probably a sign that the show shouldn’t go on and unfortunately, on the evening show, tragedy struck.
Rest in Peace Silver King
