FAQ: Chopping Tops and Bottoms of photos

Hi Xav, I was looking at your work on your website and couldn’t understand why, in some of your dish photos, you chop the top and/or bottom of the plates, is this on purpose or accidental? I don’t know why but I like the idea.

How I ended up doing what I do

Some of my readers have asked how I ended up being a photographer and doing what I do full time. So, since we are in this season of reflection, I thought it’d be a good idea to answer to that question with probably the most personal experience I’ve shared since I started writing on this journal.

On (not) giving up

So following up on my update from last week, first of all, I just wanted to make sure you all know I’m well and happy, nothing bad has happened. I also mentioned that Lewis Hamilton shared something about giving up and not finding the point of it all and shutting down completely and that made me think I should write something about it since I’ve been asked a few times how to keep going when nothing seems to work.
